The DOK Leipzig Festival Trailer will be shown before every screening during the festival week from 26 October until 01 November 2009. This year's trailer features a number of scenes of films out of the International Competition Documentary Film.

Soon DOK Leipzig opens it's "window into the world" again!
Within the Festival Week from 26 October until 01 November DOK Leipzig presents 330 films from 69 countries, including several world premieres. In four competitions, 83 new productions are featured – selected from 2,578 entries from 108 countries.
A total of 67,000 Euros prize-money is available for the competitions.
Further highlights
of this year's Festival are the Special Programmes "T.I.A. - This is
Africa" and "Transit '89. Gdansk-Leipzig-Bucharest",
a Retrospective on Joris Ivens, an Animation Retrospective on Andrey
Khrzhanovskiy, further special programmes and a variety of special
events.
In addition, DOK Leipzig offers international industry professionals
both a window on the world of German documentary film-making and an
extensive range of DOK Industry events such as the Digital DOK Market,
the International DOK Leipzig Co-Production Meeting, DOK Summits, an
ARTE Focus, the presentation of documentary slots in German TV and on
October 24/25 the Documentary Campus Masterschool Pitching 2009.
Agnès Varda's film "Les plages d'Agnès", which has been shown in DOK Leipzig's last year's International Competition Documentary Film, opens in German cinemas from 10 September on.
