In its fifth year, the Leipzig Screening is a firmly established part of the German documentary scene, as well as forming an exciting part of DOK Leipzig’s industry offers. During two days, a selection of outstanding, new German documentaries are presented on screen to an audience of international buyers, commissioning editors, distributors and sales agents. Many German films have been discovered and bought for the international market during the first four years of the Leipzig Screening.
During the private screenings the producers have the opportunity to present their films to a carefully chosen group of industry professionals. One-on-one discussions and networking are further encouraged by the participants’ lunches. All guests are invited to make use of the other DOK Leipzig facilities such as the digital DOK Market and festival screenings to see even more German documentary productions.
This year we welcome broadcasters, world sales agents and distributors from the following countries amongst others: Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Estonia, Finland, France, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and the USA.
DOK Leipzig offers a comprehensive overview over current German documentary productions with its German Competition for Documentary Film, the DOK Market and the Leipzig Screening. The festival is thus actively involved in the support of international distribution for German films.
