Successful introduction of the DOK Market Digital, for which all current festival films and 150 further international productions are digitalised and recorded on a central film server. Witha mouse-click visitors can now view and evaluate individually, as well as entering into direct contact with distributors and producers. This innovation in the documentary film market sees the number of trade visitors increase to reach 1,200.

However, visitors to the festival proper also fail to depart empty handed: The special series on Arab films "1001 Images - Arab Documentary film on the rise" becomes a true crowd-puller.
