Five European documentary film festivals, five high-quality films, five times publicity for the artistic author's film in cinema - Doc Alliance is a partnership of five key European documentary film festivals – CPH:DOX Copenhagen, DOK Leipzig, IDFF Jihlava, Planete Doc Review Warsaw and VISIONS DU REEL Nyon.

Each select an excellent feature-length documentary film that stands out because of its original and innovative narrative style and point of view.

All five films are then shown at the participating festivals. At the end of the year, an international jury decides about the "Doc Alliance Award" for the best of the five nominated documentaries.
