Travelling by car:

You can reach the Leipzig city center via the motorways A9 (Berlin-München), A 14 (Magdeburg-Dresden) and A 38.

  • A 9 from Munich: At "Kreuz Rippachtal" change to A 38 towards "Leipzig-Süd/Dresden", take exit "Leipzig-Süd" and follow B 2 towards "Zentrum" which guides you within 15 - 20 minutes directly to the city center.
  • Alternative: A 9 from Munich - Take exit "Leipzig West", follow B 181 towards "Zentrum" for about half an hour to the city center.
  • From Berlin: follow the "Leipzig" sign at the Schkeuditzer Kreuz where A 9 joins A 14, change to A 14 and towards "Leipzig" and take exit "Leipzig-Mitte", follow B 2 for about 15 minutes towards "Zentrum".
  • From Dresden: A 14 towards Magdeburg, take exit "Leipzig-Ost" and follow B 6 for about 20 - 25 minutes towards "Zentrum".


Chargeable parking in Katharinenstraße right next to the Festival Office. Other parking houses are located next to the railway station (Leipzig Hauptbahnhof) and at Augustusplatz.

 

Travelling by train:

From the main station it is a 5-10 minutes walk to the Festival Office. By taxi (Löwentaxi Leipzig e.G.) also 5 minutes.

24h DOK Leipzig Ticket

You live in Berlin and plan to visit DOK Leipzig? Then make use of the 24h DOK Leipzig Ticket.

For just 39 Euro you not only get a return train ticket from Berlin to Leipzig but also a day pass for the festival. The ticket is valid 24 hours from the departure in Berlin and can only be used during the festival week (26.10.-1.11.2009).

The ticket is available from now on at www.interconnex.com

The Day Pass needs to be collected upon presentation of the Interconnex ticket and ID card at the DOK Box (Petersstraße, crossing Leipzig market).

The 24h DOK Leipzig Ticket is offered in cooperation with Interconnex (Veolia Verkehr).

 

 

Travelling by plane:

From the airport Halle/Leipzig either by taxi (Löwentaxi Leipzig e.G.) to the Festival Office (duration: 25-35 minutes) or by train (Airport-Express) every 30 minutes to the main railway station Leipzig (duration: 15 minutes).

From airport Altenburg/Nobitz (Ryan Air) by shuttle bus to Leipzig railway station (duration: 1h15min, costs: 12 EUR). Departure time depends on the arrival time of the flight.

From airport Berlin (Tegel, Schönefeld) by public transport to Berlin main station (Hauptbahnhof). The ICE from Berlin to Leipzig (main station) takes 1 hour and 10 minutes.
