How to obtain an accreditation for the festival?

By filling out our Online Application you can receive accreditation for the 53rd International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film from 18 to 24 October 2010. The form must be received by 1 October 2010.

If you have any questions or difficulties with the application please contact our guest office: 49 (0) 341 308 64 20, akkreditierung[at]dok-leipzig.de

Who can receive accreditation?

Film makers, media industry professionals as well as representatives from the press and media reporting on the event are eligible to receive accreditation (proof of professional status is required).

Film makers with films appearing in one of the competitions and jury members are not required to fill out the application and will receive accreditation automatically by contacting the guest office. Hotel bookings will be taken care of by the guest office for specially invited film makers and jury members.

How much does accreditation cost?

The accreditation fee for film professionals is 60 euros, for media reporters 50 euros.

Accreditations received after 1 October 2010 will not be processed prior to the festival, however it is also possible to apply for accreditation on site. This will incur a higher accreditation fee of 70 EUR.

If you have been approved for free accreditation by the festival, please note this in the “Remarks” section.

What does accreditation include?

Accreditation entitles visitors to attend all DOK Festival events and DOK Industry sessions (some specially designated events are not included) and comes with a festival catalogue.

Where can I pick up my accreditation?

Starting Monday, 18 October 2010 you can pick up your accreditation from 10 am to 8 pm at our festival centre at the Museum der Bildenden Künste (Museum of Fine Arts), which is located at the following address: Katharinenstrasse 10, 04109 Leipzig. The fee is to be paid in cash.

I have received accreditation for DOK Leipzig. Can I attend all DOK Festival and DOK Industry events?

You can attend almost all events! However there are some limitations, including the following events: the 6th International DOK Leipzig Co-Production Meeting and Leipzig Screenings are only open to invited guests. Registration for the Final Pitch for the Documentary Campus Master School must be submitted to Documentary Campus e.V.

Accredited guests are of course welcome to attend all regularly scheduled screenings, the Leipzig Forum, DOK Summits, DOK Podium, master classes, workshops and Get Togethers.

Interested in registering for the Final Pitch of the Documentary Campus Master School?

Registration must be submitted to Documentary Campus e.V. (www.documentary-campus.com).

Can I attend the Final Pitching of the Documentary Campus Masterschool with my DOK Leipzig accreditation?

No. If you want to attend the pitching as an observer, you may get a combined accreditation for a reduced prizing of 260 EUR (instead of 300 EUR). This package will grant you access to (almost) all DOK Festival & DOK Industry events and as well as to the Final Pitching of Documentary Campus Masterschool. Registration & info at: www.documentary-campus.com.

As an accredited guest will I be admitted to all festival screenings without a ticket?

No! As an accredited guest you must pick up your free tickets to screenings at the box office. We recommend that tickets be picked up well in advance of the screening and that you arrive at the cinema on time, as particularly for very popular screenings there may not be sufficient seating for all viewers.

Where can I find out who will also attend DOK Leipzig?

The guest list will be published shortly before the festival begins at www.dok-leipzig.de. When you pick up your accreditation you will also be given a print out of the guest list.

With my accreditation will I also be admitted to the DOK Market?

The DOK Market is open from 10 am to 10 pm for all film buyers, distributors, festival representatives, cinema operators and media professionals (blue or yellow accreditation). For other guests (green accreditation) DOK Market is open from 6 pm to 10 pm. In this way we are attempting to promote further distribution of films. Please act in the spirit of solidarity with colleagues whose films are featured in the DOK Market.
